In actuality tho, I haven't had this much sex since Boy Scouts!
How does a Cub Scout become a Boy Scout...
He eats a Brownie...

Did your alarm clock go off and wake you up right after those girls said they want to be with you.
It is a sour cream sauce. Onions, sour cream, butter, braised chicken and rice. The chicken is just sitting on top.My mom used to make chicken paprikash, but it wasn't like that, she made it with a sour cream sauce....
It was delicious...
I had a Poly in my 61 Fury 4 door. It ran OK, no power house but it was in a very heavy vehicle...2bbl with some TALL gears. 300k on the clock when sold. engine was wore out tho...So @dukeboy_318 have you ever driven a poly out on the highway??
The reason I'm asking is because I'm looking for real world reviews on a poly.
I'm still on the fence on what to do with this one. I got it started and it needs a carburetor, because it just diarrhea ***** fuel everywhere.
Sounds strong but ...... to be debated.
No different than any 318. In a C body a little underpowered but mostly because of the rear gearSo @dukeboy_318 have you ever driven a poly out on the highway??

That's exactly what it's in. 66 furryNo different than any 318. In a C body a little underpowered but mostly because of the rear gear
IMO poly might be a better engine then the LA 318. Solid lifters, better valve geometry....I have never seen one hot rodded....That's exactly what it's in. 66 furry
My debate is junk the poly and install a 66 dated 440 that I have under my work bench. Or keep the poly.IMO poly might be a better engine then the LA 318. Solid lifters, better valve geometry....

When I bought the car I didn't even think it had an engine, didn't care, wanted the body.
Then i get it cleaned up and i find a running poly that was rebuilt in 1996 and has the complete a/c on it. This car is mega original and complete.
Now I got the poly running again ...... but
Not sure
The wife hurt her hand a couple weeks ago. Actually got a cortisone shot the other day. She was looking for someone to run the vacuum if you don't mind....lol
Go for which optionMy dad used to say that the poly 318 was good for performance and economy in its day... Go for it...
Go for which option
1. Junk or sell the poly and go 440
2. Keep the poly
How did you miss Ranibo?Ewww ewwww ewwww
I'm glad I didn't get it with the spike part of my shoe, I got it with the flat spot on the front of my shoe.
.
Only in an old truck. So not a good comparison. So @dukeboy_318 have you ever driven a poly out on the highway??

Really? There’s a cult following of guys and gals who’ve hot rodded them. Heck, the factory even made 6 pack and dual quad manifolds for them. Factory versions of those made nearly 300 hp in the late 50s and early 60s. There’s several polys around that can give Stock big blocks and hemis a run for their money.IMO poly might be a better engine then the LA 318. Solid lifters, better valve geometry....I have never seen one hot rodded....
you’re in the same debate I am in. My thought is this, if your poly is running and showing no issues, stick with it. If it’s gonna need torn apart, may as well go 440. That’s where I’m at anywayMy debate is junk the poly and install a 66 dated 440 that I have under my work bench. Or keep the poly.

Yep. Unless I stop in a store it’s a mask free day for me.Good morning. Weird to realize, "I don't have to wear a mask for 8 hours today or tomorrow, yay!"
They’re also very popular on dirt tracks too. There’s a team running and winning with them out in Iowa. The blocks are durable as hell and gain easily go .090-.100 overbore without any shifts or overheating problems. The dirt track team I’m talking about claims to have taken one to .120 over after a good sonic check. If I had the coin, I’d rebuild the one in the Polara, drop a 4 inch stroker crank in it, bump the compression to 10:1, port the heads a bit, slap some headers and dual quads on and go big block huntingThat's cool there is a poly cult with rodders.
I may have shared this before, Plymouths with the "old-style 318" which is what I called them, I first discovered in my twenties. As a kid all I knew was LA318's. The whole thing about the Poly for me was you knew they were still good at over 100k miles. (I already knew slant 6's were good too but not as much fun.) So living paycheck to paycheck you had reliable transportation.
