Bled the rear brakes, adjusted them and the parking brake, replaced a missing nut on the 8-3/4 center section, and riveted two fuel line clamps (had to move the #6 Teflon braided line to make room for the subframe connector on that side).
Oh, also I put a wing nut on the air cleaner stud :)

Got a small patch done in the left rocker today. New to body work, pretty happy with this one.

Working on left rear quarter panel. Getting prepped for new panel when it arrives.

What am I doing with my car today you ask?"
Watching it sit in the back with a fresh swapped 3:55 geared disc brake swapped Sure Grip and no driveshaft.
It won't be ready until tomorrow when it's forcasted to rain.:D

Detailing the front suspension and working are way to the rear.
Not a rotisserie restoration, but we want it presentable.

You gotta let us know how you like the 3:55's I'll be doing the same thing as soon as I save a few bucks, except no disk brakes.

I took it for a drive Sunday before I took the driveshaft in.
The 3:55 gears raised my RPM's at 80mph from 2,100 to about 2,500.
I was expecting about an 800 RPM increase using OD with lockup, but I'm totally fine with the outcome.
It sure is a lot more snappy around town though, and the gear reduction coupled with the Sure Grip and stickier tires made a big difference.

If you are spinning tires out of a corner you really need to have the car pointed in the direction you want to go when the tires take hold again.:D

Starting to think I may want to get a rev limiter on this thing.

This week I did this to my 65 'cuda with the Commando 273 exhaust with the factory Exposed Resonator... as I got tired of the Cheap China made muffler Hangers not lasting... I fabricated this with Junk I had laying around in my Car Stuff Shed...
A Stainless Steel Band Clamp and a rubber part I got off a Jeep... or maybe one of my Rams a few years ago ( I throw nothing out if it looks usable ) and some shoulder bolts I slightly re-machined... This should last... and it better as I'm too damn old !!! (Closing in on 75 years) Sigh~
On the Bottom pic of the (Real Factory)

Resonator, I used a piece of rubber I cut from a Radiator Hose... letting the curved rubber work in favor of how it must bend to hang the Resonator !!! If that makes sense ???
All this took a while... I move slowly now days... but after I was done, it looked Good and felt Very Strong... I don't think it's going anywhere now...

Today I started the modification to my new SS exhaust tips. Pypes 2 1/2" oval stainless steel. The discharge edge is flat metal and I am adding a 1/4" round SS trimmer to it. I have to build a jig to bend the SS rod then heliarc them to the tips. I will start a beginning to end photo thread on it maybe today. My gauge cluster wont be back from upholstery for a week so I have to do something------------------

My SS exhaust tip, a pair to be installed on my 67 notch.

This 1/4" SS rod will have to be cold bent to fit the end so I am building a simple jig to bend it up for fitting to tip for heliarc welding.

Pulled my heater box out today to change a leaking heater core. Ordered a gasket kit from DMT so installation is on hold until I get the kit.

Found some leaves!!!

Finished my driver side front frame rail repair. Just put new cap on the top. Also boxed in the torsion bar cross member with 14ga.

I got the itch to work on the old girl in preparation for spring! Putting the car on an angle in the garage is much nicer to work on it! Let's see how far down the to do list I get! Fixing the radio already became a can of worms!

Put the front suspension back in and the rear axle. Great to be putting stuff on the car instead of taking it off.

We are having the one beautiful day (73F and sunny... not bad for midwinter) forecast for the next two weeks of showers, rain or getting ready to rain. So I got the Dart out and fired up the beast... put a few more miles on the back roads. Nothing fell off, seized up or caught fire this time!
I did find that when the Contour electric fans kick on, the increased load from the alternator drops the idle speed about 100 rpm, and sometimes it falls out of the tree (slower, less vacuum, slower... until it dies or I tap the pedal). The mixture screws are as good as they're going to get. Oh well, 1200 rpm idle isn't much different from 1100 :)

Slow progress. Ran fuel line from tank to motor. Got new aircleaner on a trade for magnum manifolds. Installed grill and headlights. Some other odds and ends. I only get a few days a month to work on Pandora.
