Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Based on the problems he is having, I bet he has Dart doors, not Dart Sport doors. And the "builder" tried to make Duster/Dart Sport glass work in a door that was supposed to have wing windows.

With the pitman arm removed from the box go full left than count the wheel rotations to full right. Next split that difference. The steering box should now be at center also called high point The pitman arm has a master spline that will align with the master spline on the steering box. As stated...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

I believe the reference is between Dusters (70 and later) and Dart sport, Demon bodies (71 and later). The 67 to 76 Dart is much different.

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

I believe that the Door felts or cat whiskers are the same for darts or dusters. The difference is between model years. The earlier say 70, 71 are held on with clips on the whiskers themselves as for the later say 72, 73, 74 are held on by difference method which I can't recall. I ran into this...

    1965 Dartcharger

Today I was able to remove the instrument panel, heater and the a/c unit. Found out some new information. Wiring for gear selector were tejped with a black tejp. In the curve you can see the yellowish paper tejp. On the backside of the tejp there is evidence of paper. The tejp probably holded...

    Bottom End Rebuild Planning

I'm in the process of getting parts together for a new 225 motor. 225 block, 225 crank, 198 rods, and 2.2 NON turbo pistons (flat top, not dished). Then I need to do a "mock up" and see what the CR comes out at with no milling of the block or head. PS: The "replacement non turbo pistons"...

Friend’s motorhome caught fire on the way home from keystone

Like I told Matt his son this was the perfect storm. Nice place to pull over, Matt being right behind dad with his truck, two or three experienced people, probably a long A frame on the car trailer, not on the steep part of the hill

    Another boring mpg story…

I've been in GA since April 2023 where it's consistently hotter and more humid year-round than PA and don't have issues with E-gas. I run Lucas ethanol treatment in all my carb-equipped engines though and both my old Mopars get driven at least once every week or 2. My riding mower sat with...
