a freind gave me an iron 4 barrel carb and manifold, and seeings how I'm broke, I can't afford to go aluminum. I'm switching from 2 to 4 barrel. so my question is, do i have to match port the heads to put the thing on? it's a '73 318. thanks.

I'm trying to get a decent 4 barrel intake on my 318. I've got about $175. I'm putting a bigger cam in soon. I want to know if I need to get my heads match ported, but what kind of manifold would work best, and what kind of carb. hardened steel crank, bored.030, stock rods, stock 318 heads...

the actual swap part is extremely easy, I basically built mine from a short block, and the hardest part was finding the right parts. you will need shifter linkages, as I remember finding 4 types of them and neither of them fit. I just seem to have a whole bunch of bad transmission luck.

how do you adjust the front band? and what does the front band do?

how hard is it to replace the front pump on a 904?

aside from pulling the trans, how hard is it to replace the front trans seal? don't you need to pull the 10 or so bolts inside the bell housing? or is the seal in the front?

at what height do I locate the expansion tank. I swapped radiators, and I forgot where it goes.

I just finished mine, powersteering belt goes behind the alternator belt. I believe the only time you need a two pulley water pump pulley is if you have AC. and try to snag all your pulleys off of one engine, mixing and matching might not work. thats the only thing about mopars that confuse me...

my car is a '67.

why doesn't a /6 link work in a v8? it seems like the pans go down the same distance, and does it matter if you use schumacer mounts insead of a v8 k-member swap? I just don't know why mopar would make two different parts if a v8 link would work for a slant six. maybe I'm just sick of finding parts

my doors don't sag, but they're positioned wrong fore and aft. I have a 4 door, and the gap between the two doors is pretty big, I tried repositioning them, but it didn't take. any Ideas?

I can understand if i need a spacer for the early torque converter like my slant six, but I'm dealing with .003" I need to grind off. no adapter would work in that situation, but can I do what mrmopartech suggested? or I know I guy with a '67 conveter, will that work?

I can do that?????? I thought I couldn't do that because there is important stuff in the front, I don't have an original, but I can find tolarences from my slant six

that makes sense, it's a crank out of a '65, does that mean I need a converter out of a '65? and do all '65 torque converters have the same spline pattern on the transmission input shaft?

I've had it! I picked up 3 transmissions this weekend, all good, except one has a broken torque converter. all are 318-904 trans with the same spline pattern, but I'm having a bugger getting the front of the converter to seat inside the end of the crank. what to do. it only doesn't clear by like...

true, I'm guessing pistons are probably seized, but you could still sell the heads and intake and stuff like that. is there a difference between the mopar hemi and the early ford hemi? because they did make one for like a year.

I found what appears to be an early hemi in the woods. it's fairly small, but the wires running through the valve covers give it away. my question, is what is it worth? it's really rusted,probably full of water, but it's complete.
