Good motors except the cast heads, they tended to crack between valves. New heads are cheap and solve it though. My '01 Dakota was still running strong at 285k when a dumbass pulled in front of me, destroying one of the best trucks I've had.

Get the VIN number off of that TA block and post it up on www.forebodiesonly.com and https://forum.e-bodies.org a decent chance that somebody might be trying to find that block to match up with their vehicle, this brings extra money. Either way, I would either sell it to a restorer or trade it...

I'm interested in the whole package too, but I'm in Denver. The biggest pieces that I really need is that transmission and bellhousing for my 70 Barracuda project. I'd be happy to pay for shipping and handling if you don't find a buyer.

Do it, it's cheap and it really is easy to do. I just finished my dash today, the radio is on its own power switch so that I can have it playing tunes through the mono speaker at a show while I'm walking around with the keys in my pocket.

I know it's been a while since you did this, but I wanted to follow up and thank you for your write up, it helped me convert my e-body radio to Bluetooth for the mono speaker while keeping the stock look. Kudos!!

I replaced the Lean Burn system on my '79 Magnum with an MSD 6a box back in the early '90s and it really woke the car up, never had any issues with it either.

I'd buy the engine in a heartbeat but too far away to pickup and shipping would suck. it's a great deal for someone, the intake/carb and exhaust alone covers most of the cost

one of the paint charts I have says (not sure of accuracy, just listing the reference I have): 170ci - 1960 = turquoise (exc valiant) 170ci - 1960-69 = red (valiant) 198ci - 1973 = blue (all) 225ci - 1970-74 = blue (all) my '70 Barracuda w/original 225 (never rebuilt or modified) is blue...

the VIN# and/or fender tag info makes a difference, can you post that info please? one reason I ask, is that the /6 only came with a 7.25 rear end on the e-body, that one has an 8.75 with a 489 case? and the hood looks like an r/t style? VIN decode would help
