Turn Signal Cancellation doesn't work with new switch

The warping is caused by thin plastic material and spring tension in the brass contacts. Wasn't warped when new. Became warped though some use, and cracked. It was the cause for the cancel feature to stop working due to mis alignment of the cam. I don't recall but I have to believe all the...

    Homemade gauge test tool, C-3826

While we are here, I'll post some pics of my gauge tester that someone can comment on in a few more years lol. Got the parts from Mouser.

Turn Signal Cancellation doesn't work with new switch

That switch is junk. Had one, never really worked right. Plastic is thin and will crack and bow creating more issues.

    Electrical solderless or soldered connectors

So if a soldered joint creates a stiff spot next to a flexible spot, wouldn't a crimped connector create the same issue? And I have to believe vibration in the middle of a wire that is shrink wrapped is not going to flex to failure. I've done nothing but soldered wire repairs and have zero...

    And speaking of tools

My kids have zero interest in tools. They will probably go to my best friends boys as they are very into Mopars and working on cars.

    Shop keeps getting trashed!

Nope! I can't stand a mess so it gets put away after I'm done.

    Going rate 727 rebuild.

If anyone was near me I would rebuild one for the price of the parts. I probably have enough spare seals and gaskets to do 4 right now. Not everything needs replaced when you get in there. I think they are fun.

    Toolbox replacement time. Suggestions?

I understand completely. I buy USA when I can afford it.. But these HF boxes are solid and half the price of anything else. It allows me to spend more on nice tools to put inside.

    Toolbox replacement time. Suggestions?

The HF US General tool boxes are legit. They are heavy, drawer glides are smooth, great finish.

    8 3/4 rear end.

It means the axle end is tapered and keyed to accept the rear hub. It's not a single piece like in later years.

    hughes rockers

My Hughes rockers have been trouble free since I installed them on my 440. I did use the B3R geometry kit to get them centered up. Cam is a Hughes STL3842. Stealth heads.

727 no reverse, forward in neutral after rebuild

Take it back to Redline and have them fix it if it is the same issue. The hardest part about rebuilding these is pulling them out of the car. I learned to do my own.

440 valve rocker arm shaft questions

Gone down this road once myself and spent a bunch of extra money so I say get the valvetrain squared away now. Mancini rockers look like nice pieces. The Hughes rockers are nice as well (running a set in my 440) but more expensive. Pushrods from Smith Brothers. Get an adjustible pushrod to...

Weird metal piece included with the new truetrac diff

Magnet and a curtain rod will work. Attach magnet to rod. Stuff it in and slide the magnet off. Or, put a dollip of rtv on the end of the axle, stick spacer button to axle, let dry, insert into axle tube.

    440 Source Head Opinions?

I'll say again that I like my Stealth heads. And I drive my car. Hard. I had them cnc ported, valve job,, springs, keepers, locks replaced to keep up with my Hughes STL3842 solid lifter cam. I've walked away from several newer Camaro ss and Mustang GTs. They are a solid option to consider along...

    Eaton Tru-Trac differential opinions?

I have one in both of my cars and I highly recommend them. I've never heard noise from either of them. Fantastic upgrade. Only caveat I could list is that it comes with a floating button that could fall out when assembling the unit.

    440 Source Head Opinions?

Happy with mine. Put them on a 440 street build. I replaced springs,, keepers, locks. I don't know about out of the box, but cnc ported are nice. My spec sheet after work. Finish was nice right out of the box.

Failure or success with Jeg's or Summit branded ( china ) parts

Don't use ANY of their branded AN fittings. I ordered and received an AN fitting with NP 3/8" to screw into a fuel sender. Sealed, correct label. Wouldn't seal. The fitting turned out to be straight taper.

    A Holley-Edelbrock debate

I have to disagree on the part about stock engines. I had an Edelbrock 1912 800cfm on my 440, ported heads, headers, Hughes 3842 solid lifter cam, idle vacuum around 12 and I never had running issues. I did buy the tune kit to get it dialed in but it worked right out of the box. I had to...
