How do ya'll manage to set up your own rear gears? I can't find ANYONE who can press bearings off. Can you believe it? I managed to hack one of the carrier bearings off with a cutoff wheel and a chisel, but I can't get to the other one good enough. There's also no way to cut the pinion bearings...

I know probably everyone on here will recommend Firm Feel, but has anyone dealt with Steer and Gear, or Lares Corporation? I think I'll just have my '74 power steering box rebuilt before I bolt that 74 K-member under the car.

I'm looking for two things, a rear disc setup off a 94-98 Jeep Grand Cherokee, preferably with the dana 35 rearend. If you can get one, please check on the e-brake cables with it. If it came off an 8.25, all the better, but I haven't found one of those anywhere. I AT LEAST need the caliper...

Like The Title says, what do you think an 8.75 housing and axles, no brakes, no center section, is worth. I can get one for $50. Thanks. BTW its supposedly the 4.5" BP and for an A-body.

What are ya'll paying in labor to have your rearends setup. I have a oeg-leg 2.45 geared 8 1/4, a good used set of 3.55, and now a good suregrip. I'm going to buy a master overhaul kit and the oil, but the tech is going to put the lsd additive and set it up for $250. Does this sound about right...

Help me out here. I'm not a master mechanic, but I am under the impression that the ring gear bolts on to the carrier, or suregrip unit, depending on what you have, and the pinion is what goes through the front of the housing, connecting to the driveshaft, am I right? I hope I am, lol.

What do you guys think about the damage or at the very least ugly welding on this lca mount? Its on the passenger side of my 74 k-member that I just got clean enough to see. Any recommendations? In other words, I'm wondering if it was put back in straight, and if the metal ripped, or what...
