i found a couple more post around the net that said they liked that u pol alot better than the 3M stuff. but maybe it is the combo of the blasted metal and the weld thru. i'll have to see if i can find any of the other stuff and give it a try. thanks
I'm sure there is a thread about this that i couldn't find (i did look really). I'm helping my cousin with his 70 gtx we have sand blasted and cleaned the frame and trunk pans and used 3m weld thru primer on the tops of the frame and the bottom of the pans. the problem is when we started to spot...
when i built the 360 for my scamp i got a weight balance package from mancini for 20 bucks. It was very easy to install on the converter. not sure if this is the same for the 340s but i think it is. good luck
I'm with you i love my abody but, i'm helping my cousin restore his 70 gtx 375 hp 440 pistol grip, dana, air grabber, factory 8 track, buckets w/ console all numbers matching. the more we work on it the more it grows on me.
Thank you very much for the part number and all the information. this will make my install much easier and the cheap part will make it easier to explain to the wife.
Does anyone know what the best solution for my 72 360. I don't think that my crank is drilled for a pilot bearing and i don't know if there is a beter way that to remove the crank and have it drilled. Any suggestions would be great. [-o<
the book has no part #s its just a promo catalog with discriptions of stuff that they offered. My uncle ( who has all of these books ) said that shortly after they started offering this they started making new flywheels again and then discontiued this balance kit. but i'll start looking through...
Yes the torque converter i have done already and it worked fine. But i now have everything to install a crash box in my 71 scamp and the 11" flywheel has the drill marks from being balanced but the 10 1/2" needs to be balanced. In and old parts catolage i found a kit that ma mopar used to sell...
Does anyone know how i can balance a flywheel that came off of an internally balanced engine. I heard that mopar performance use to sell a template and drill bit, but i cannot find one.
i'm getting ready to do the quarters on my 71 scamp and also on my uncles 70 satalite. Did you stitch weld the seam? I'm concerned about warping the panel. any tips would be great.
