    @ 1958 M-E-L 430 Tri-Power !

One of the most beautiful engines ever produced : 1958 M-E-L (Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln) 430 V8 and its "Super" package . It was rated at 400 hp , with that trio of Holley 2300 Series mixers . I *believe* that someone's running one in F.A.S.T. ; a Mercury Turnpike Cruiser , if I remember...

    For "Bonnie" the Kitten ...

Here's a link to Anakin : the Two-Legged Kitty page . Anakin was born sans his hindquarters ! This birth defect doesn't appear to affect him one iota ; he gets around on his hands ( I refer to cats' and dog's "front legs" and "feet" as arms / hands for the simple fact that they have thumbs...

    --->WANTED : Engine Mount Brackets / Ears

I am looking for the engine-side engine mount brackets / "plates" for a '72 318 . The Schumaker poly mounts I put in a few years ago got destroyed due to neglect on my part :sad6: (transmission mount was bad , I didn't have the time nor place to fool with replacing it , so it ripped the...

    LH23C1R in Corona

For the last couple of years I've seen a 1971 Dart Swinger in Corona (technically , Temescal Valley) California , kickin' back in someone's driveway. Until very recently , I was only able to ascertain that : 1.) It was B7 Blue ; 2.) It was a '70 or '71 ; 3.) Had my favourite deluxe wheel covers...

    I Met a Former L.A. Factory Employee

Yesterday at work , I met a former Los Angeles Assembly Plant employee :happy2: ! At one of the shops I deliver to* , I saw a '69 Dart LH23B9E on their alignment rack . It was , shall we say , pretty yucky ; a work-in-progress . Of course , first thing I do is check its v.i.n. : 'Cool ! An...

    65,000 Original Miles Duster

    *Potentially* Stupid Question

With all of the trouble that those fabulous Ballast Resistors threaten our MoPars with , I've recently wondered about preventative measures ... I've seen some aerosol "Electronics Sealer" at work , and it got me thinking : Would its application on a Ballast Resistor help prevent it from...

Demented Are Go ! "Up from the Skies"

Here's the best version (other then the original , of course ) of "Up from the Skies" , as performed to perfection by those Welsh madmen , Demented Are Go! , from 1993's Transgential Madness . I had the pleasure of meeting these blokes back in the 90's when they came to the U.S. They stayed...

    R.I.P. Michael Davis (MC5 Bassist)

Michael Davis (1943-2012) passed away earlier this week at age 68 . Davis was the Bassist for the notorious Detroit-area MC5 (active from 1964-1972) . I created some artwork for him just over one year ago ; and he rewarded my efforts with a White Panthers / MC5 t-shirt , an MC5 decal (affixed...

Custom Lenses (anyone try doing it?)

I've long maintained that turn signal / hazard lamps should be ambre-coloured on the taillights . To me , red signifies "STOP!" , not "caution" ; a flashing red light for a lane change makes no sense to me . With this in mind , I've always wondered what it would take to make custom tail light...

    Peanut Butter ...??

This has me somewhat mystified ... When-ever I check the oil level in the stock 318 in my '72 Coronet , I find a smattering of the dreaded "Peanut Butter" at the very top of the dipstick (!!) The crankcase oil is normal ( no discolouration , normal fill-level , etc. ) , but that damned Peanut...
