SBP mag slots, 14 or 15 to anything from 4 to 7?

I was gifted a pair of SMP 14x8 magslots for my 1970 duster, from a family member, I really like them and want to do them justice on my car and let my family member see me use them. But my duster currently has old cragars on it, which I like, but I'm not gonna mix the mag slots and the cragars...

[FOR SALE] Edelbrock TM6 Intake Manifold, located in Chesapeake VA

I've had this intake manifold sitting around, came with an engine that I bought years ago but never did anything with. I guess it needs to be cleaned up or whatever, I don't know. If you're buying this you probably know a lot more about it than I do, I'm not even sure which engines it is correct...

    Correct upper coolant hose?

I picked up a 60910, I suspect it will just kink and leak like the flex hose but we'll see.

    Correct upper coolant hose?

Hey guys. The local Napa has been unable to find the correct upper coolant hose for my 1970 duster. It's a 225, with a thermostat housing that has the hose coming out straight up, and the outlet on the radiator is on the passenger side sticking straight out. We tried a couple different hoses and...

guy yelled at for driving big gas hog truck (lol)

I would have asked her where the battery in her car came from. Then, revved the engine until she went away.

slant six radiator on a 318?

I saw several cars pulled over/broke down that day. At least mine got me where I had to go. I almost never have to drive [my own vehicles] in the city anyway.

slant six radiator on a 318?

I have a 72 coronet with a 318. Had the engine rebuilt when I got the car 7 years ago- pretty much stock, better crank+pistons. Ran the car for 6 years and 20,000 miles without issue, found out the engine builder was a dirtbag and used bad parts. At the same time that I took the engine out...

Installed rebuilt 318. My friend wants me to use lucas breakin additive.

Here's the story: about 6 years ago this engine was rebuilt by a dirtbag. I didn't know he was a dirtbag until last year when I found out how much was wrong with the engine. So, a friend and I removed the engine ourselves, had a trustworthy machine shop sleeve a cylinder and hone all of them...

    Buying Parts in 2011

Were you born knowing what a carb spacer is? You could have taken the 5 seconds to tell her what a carb spacer is, then she would be one step on her way to being a better auto parts person. A friend of mine started working at NAPA when he was around 18 knowing very little about cars but...

Re-routed the fuel line, but still having warm start problems

There is a gasket under the carb, looks like about 1/4 thick to me. The carb probably could use a rebuild. So when I find the time I will rebuild the carb, replace the float, and do the timing and valves and see how it is then. Maybe next week. Thanks for the help, guys.

Re-routed the fuel line, but still having warm start problems

My 1970 duster with a 225 was having warm start problems so I re-routed the fuel line and relocated the fuel filter behind the alternator as I have seen suggested. But I still seem to be having the same problems. I might be a little better. The car starts and runs perfectly fine when cold. If I...

Was It The Right Thing To Do...

You did the right thing for the goat. As for the dog, the idea that once a dog has attacked another animal it becomes dangerous to humans is BS. I had a dog, german shepard/lab mix, that would kill any wild animal that came anywhere near our property. Possums, rabbits, raccoons, even birds! But...

225 Slant six with trans value

I'm interested in one and if I found a complete engine+tranny like yours locally I personally might pay up to $150. But yes, they do often go for free and there isn't much of a market for them. I want one so I could do a turbo build and keep my original engine unmolested.

Steering wheel squeak- anyone dealt with this before?

If it's the horn contact, how do I get to it and how do I fix it? Is it something I replace? I've never had a steering wheel off before.

Steering wheel squeak- anyone dealt with this before?

The steering wheel in my 70 duster (slant six, automatic on the column) squeaks when turning left. Not always, but often enough, and it's really annoying. I took a video, of course it mostly stopped doing it while I was recording... but you can hear the squeak in the video (it's usually worse)...

    More Interest in /6 lately

I'm seriously consider building a mild turbo /6 to put in my duster... just want a little more oomph without destroying the fuel economy.

    chevelle vs evo

All comes down to how much money you wanna spend. If I spent the cost of an evo on building up my duster, it would blow the doors off an evo.

Gauging interest in my 1970 duster survivor

Looks the same as any bumper I've ever seen on any other 1970 duster... just this one has bumperettes. Anyway, it looks like there's not much interest in this car for what it is, only for what else it could be. But, tonight I went and did some touch-up work, temporary painting to seal up...

Gauging interest in my 1970 duster survivor

Rails are good all around. Floors are still good, but should get attention, there is some rust under the floormat. I might end up taking the seats and floormat out myself and doing something about it if I still have the car for a while. I'm pretty sure it just needs to be cleaned up and coated...

Gauging interest in my 1970 duster survivor

I picked up this duster last spring. Basically I was looking for a toy but ended up with a historical artifact. I don't really want to get rid of it, it's a nice car, but it's not what I really wanted. So I'm putting this out there to see what people think it is worth, and to see if anyone is...

    Infinity G- coupes are quick!

Infiniti... Glorified Nissan... Every Infiniti I see on the road looks like its falling apart. And they're always really dirty. They must be for people who don't care at all about their car. Same story with Lexus. I think it's really funny that people who buy them think they are getting...

    Look Ma No Oil

I don't know about the engine, but if I saw that happen (people being so rude to an 80 year old lady and failing to help) I would write a letter for the local paper describing the incident and chastising those people... (can you tell I live in a small town?)

How much do you think a 72 coronet with a 318 could tow?

Curious. I probably won't end up doing anything like this with my coronet, but I will probably be towing some things at work (hopefully with trucks provided by the company) and it got me thinking about whether it would be possible with my coronet, if I rigged up a hitch on it (which I am pretty...
